Water Flow Rate Required for Salmonids

The flow rates below in cubic metres per hour per tonne of fish are approximates based on the following assumptions.

• 1. Atmospheric pressure 760 mmHg.
• 2. Influent water is not less than 95% saturated with oxygen.
• 3. The minimum concentration of oxygen leaving the tanks is 7mg/1
• 4. The fish are actively feeding on dry pellet according to standard feeding rates.
• 5. The water is clean freshwater,
