Fine bubble high performance air diffusers. Semi flexible diffuser construction 300cm long 32mm diameter. Maximum recommended air flowrate is 10 cubic metres of air per hour. Materials of construction are plastic with 316 stainless steel end fittings, aslo fitted with non return valve in diffuser. Diffuser contains its own internal fused silica bead ballast. Eco Treat is a natural supplement that will restore the biological harmony to your pond and actively improves the environment for your fish, plants and wildlife. The product will reduce blanket weed and algal blooms by reducing the organics, nitrogen and phosphorous levels in your pond, lake or fish farm. The net result is a cleaner healthier pond.

Ecotreat is an inoculation of beneficial bacteria, the quantity to add to the water depends on the size of the pond/lake. To calculate the amount, determine the volume of the pond in cubic metres and divide the result by 1.6. If the lake is deeper than 2m use 2m as the average water depth. The result is called the dose factor D. The initial dose to be added is 2 x D in grammes. Two weeks later add 1 x D, then 0.5 x D every month thereafter.

Excess weed and debris should be removed from the lake if possible, also you need to increase the circulation and oxygen levels for best results, an aeration system will perform this task. A packaged system is included in the shopping cart.

Sodium bicarbonate is used as a buffer in marine and freshwater recycle aquaculture systems to prevent the pH from falling. Also in recycle or any biofiltration process employing autotrophic bacterial nitrification of ammonium, there is a requirement for inorganic carbon for the bacteria. Irrespective of the pH, if there is no inorganic carbon source there will be no biological activity in the filter. A bicarbonate source is therefore essential for the continued performance of biological filters.
