APF (active Poly Floc)

APF makes  your swimming pool water cleaner

APFActive Poly Floc

Designed for Swimming pools and Spas
·         Remove cryptosporidia and giardia oocysts, much higher performance than PAC
·         If you don’t use a flocculent you are not removing oocysts and the public are at risk
·         Reduces bacterial levels by starving them of food
·         Improves water clarity
·         Reduces chlorine demand and formation of trichloramine and THM`s
·         Easy to use supplied as a liquid to be dosed into the water before the filters

Water clarity depends upon the performance of the sand filters. Sand will remove particles down to 15 microns, however if AFM (Active Filter Media) is used you remove particles down to 5 microns and below. The infectious eggs of cryptosporidia and giardia  measure 4 microns, and they are not easily killed by chlorine, chlorine dioxide, UVc or ozone, the only really effective way of controlling the organism is by filtering them out of the water.  Sand in sand filters will not remove the oocysts, they will pass straight through the filter bed unless a good flocculent is used.  AFM removes smaller particles and resists worm hole channelling, so it is a much more effective barrier and when used in combination with APF. Virtually all of the solids down to 1 micron and even the sub-micron particles that give water a grey appearance will  be removed.

APF has been designed specifically for swimming pools and Spas the flocculent has a much wider spectrum than simple PAC so it will improve the water clarity and provide you with extra protection and safety. When APF is used in combination with AFM, particles down to 1 micron, and a much higher percentage of the eggs of cryptosporidia and giardia will be removed.

Cost of Treatment
·         For a typical 25m public swimming pool the cost of treatment is £0.69 per day.
How to use
·         APF should be dosed into the water before a DZA (Dryden Zeta Activator) unit, alternatively inject APF before the filter pumps. The injection point should be after your chlorine and pH monitoring points.
·         The application rate is 10ml to 20ml per 100 cubic metres of water per hour pumped to the filters.
Notes
·         MSDS data sheets available from www.AFM.eu and supplied with APF
·         DZA = Dryden Zeta Activator, flocculants work because they drop the zeta potential of solids. The DZA is a special mixer, which amplifies the performance of the APF and NoPhos, so you need less of the chemicals to work
·         AFM (Active Filter Media) dramatically improves the performance of sand filters.
·         Dosing pumps available from Dryden Aqua
·         Supplied  in 25 kg drums, volume 20.8 litres, order quantity is 4 or more drums
