AFM also has a much higher thermal stability than silica sand, it will also remove at least 30% more solids from the water. AFM does not support bacteria, indeed sand can support 1000 time the number of bacteria. The use of AFM can therefore make a major impact on the quality of the water and the level of bacteria.
