NoPhos NoPhos is a special coagulant that we use in public aquaria to remove phosphate from the water. Algae and bacteria require phosphate, if you eliminate phosphate you stop bacteria growth.

Phosphate test kit

This Phosphate Test kit includes 10 powder pillows, two testing vials and a reference card with directions. Gives accurate results after only 60-seconds, and measures phosphate from 0 to 1000 ppb. 10 test per bottle

The low end resolution is approx 10 ppb, this means the test kits is ideal to insure that there is Zero phosphate in the water.  Ideal product to use in combination with NoPhos

APF
APF is an Active Poly Floc that  has been designed specifically for the swimming pool industry. APF will improve the clarity of the  water and performance of the filters, which gives extra protection to the public from cryptosporidium break though from the filters.

Dosing pumps

Accurate peristaltic dosing pumps used to dose NoPhos, PAC and chlorine. Two models are available,  the single headed pump may be used to dose one of the flocculants, however we also have two headed pumps, so the one pump can be used for APF ( or PAC) and NoPhos at the same time.

Single headed pumps 0.03 to 0.38 litres per hour more information

Double headed pump 0.04 to 0.76 litres per hour more information

Sand filters  A range of good quality sand filters. We also provide filters that are in full compliance with British standards as well as German DIN standards. Did you know that if you  have a sand filter with a manhole less than 600mm diam you are breaking the regulations. Dryden Aqua is about the only UK company providing filters in compliance with the health & Safety regulations. Information

Disinfection
of changing rooms
The spread of infection is always a risk in any changing room, especially in the warm wet environment of a swimming pool. Dryden Aqua now have for the first time an ozonation system which can be used to eliminate odours and help to disinfect all surfaces in the changing room.  The system is automatic, it simply turns on for a period of around 1 hour every night by a time switch. Ozone at a level of approximately 0.5ppm will develop,  however the ozone will tend to concentrate on all wet surfaces in contact with the air. Ozone has 7 times the oxidation capacity of chlorine, so very quickly the bacterial levels in the changing rooms will be greatly reduced or will be eliminated. information

Gas sensing

Ozone | Chlorine | carbon monoxide |

The plant rooms in swimming pools are often used to store chlorine chemicals such as calcium hypochlorite.  In some cases there may be accidents of leakage which cause the level; of chlorine to increase.  The plant room may also contain an ozone generator, so there is a risk of ozone gas. Most plant rooms have a gas fired boiler, so there is a potential risk from carbon monoxide. information Our web site at www.OZONE.co.uk has information on personell gas monitors
Static Mixers After the addition of PAC APF or NoPhos is best to pass the water through a static mixer.  The mixer that the coagulant is thoroughly mixed with the water.  Thorough mixing can have a tremendous effect on the performance of the coagulant.  This will in turn improve the performance of the filter and reduce the amount of chemicals required. A static mixer should also be used after the addition of carbon dioxide when used for pH correction.

UV disinfection UVc units should only be used in natural pools, or pools that do not use chlorine, bromine or any halogenated disinfectant.  If UV is used on a chlorinated pool then it is essential to use an activated carbon filter after the UV to remove the carcinogenic THM component. Information
