Cleaning
chemicals
It is absolutely essential that you avoid anionic surfactants
getting into the water. Most cleaning agents contain surfactants and even
some swimming pool products to be added to the water will contain
surfactants. The surfactant will react with your PAC and Nophos flocculation
chemicals. This means that your sand filters or AFM filters will be
prevented from working properly and cryptosporidium oocysts will get through
the filter. Do not allow surfactants in on even near the water. Even tiny
amounts as little at 10ml per 100 cubm of swimming pool water will have a
major impact. Make sure bathers shower before using the pool, and avoid the
use of soap and shampoo. |
