Pressure Filter installation notes
  1. Install the filter on a level concrete pad or plinth, it is important the filter is level.

  2. All pipe work and valves must be supported, do not hang the valves from the filter flanges

  3. Fit an air relief valve to the top of the filter, and vent filter at start-up

  4. Before adding the AFM media, make sure all the nozzles on the base of the filter are properly fastened

  5. Fill the filter with clean water to a depth of  at least 400 mm. Turn on the air blower if used, and check the air is evenly distributed between all of the nozzles.

  6. Carefully add the Grade 3 AFM to the filter, the water layer helps to level out the bed and cushion the shock loading on the nozzle plate. Level the bed once all of the grade 3 has been added, then add all the grade 2, level the bed and repeat with the grade 1 AFM. The smallest grade 1 AFM should be on top of the bed. The ratio of filter media should be around 20% grade 3,   20% grade 2 and    60% grade 1

  7. If there is a sight glass viewing port on the filter, the bed depth should be at the bottom of the window
