Biofiloc is a catalyst that aids nitrification and promotes the development of bacterial floc. The product is used in water and waste water treatment systems, it should not be used in aquaculture systems. The application rate is 4mg/l for every 200g of BOD. For water with a higher concentration than 200mg/BOD the concentration should be increased pro-rata.
Biofiloc is a dry powder that can be dissolved in water and then administered to the treatment system by means of a dosing pump, alternatively a 50 litre fish feeder may be used to dose the product as a powder directly into the water.
