Calibrate in % sat mode

  1. Remove the dissolved oxygen probe from the water, wipe the membrane and dry the probe, suspended out of water and direct sunshine for 30 minutes, before proceeding with calibration
  2. Press Cal key
  3. Scroll up using the arrow keys to the number 11

  9. The probe is now in calibration mode. CAL will be flashing on the top right of the screen. Hold is displayed in the top left. When READY is displayed below hold, press the ENTER key. READY may flash on and off, however if the reading is not fluctuating by more that 2%, then you may press ENTER, when ready is displayed
  10. Press ENTER again, the display will now go to 100% sat + or - approx 2% . The temperature will be displayed below the %sat figure

Mg/l and PPM mode

  1. Remove the dissolved oxygen probe from the water, wipe the membrane and dry the probe, suspended out of water and direct sunshine for 30 minutes, before proceeding with calibration
  2. Press Cal key
  3. Use arrow keys to scroll to 11
  4. Press ENTER
  5. Cal dO is displayed
  6. Press Enter
  7. 1-PE Cal is now displayed

  9. The prove is now in calibration mode. CAL will be flashing in the top right of the then display, and a value for the mg/l will be displayed. Wait until READY comes on in the top left of the screen, it may flash ion and off, however if the reading displayed in stable + or - approx 0.2mg/l you may continue. You now need to know the air temperature next to the probe and the salinity of the water. Use the oxygen solubility table at the back of the manual or on our web site at http://www.drydenaqua.com to determine the mg/l (or ppm) that would be equivalent to 100% sat. For example, if the air temperature is 24 deg C, and salinity 30ppt, the concentration of oxygen is 7.30mg/l at 100% sat. When READY is displayed, use the arrow keys to change the display to the correct reading and then press enter.  If you get an error message, it meands that you tried to change the calibation set pon when READY was not dsplayed.
  10. Probe condition and temp are now displayed
  11. Press ENTER
  12. The reading in mg/l and the temp are now displayed. The mg/l reading must match the calibration reading + or - approx 0.2mg/l.
