1. The Dryden AquaMon is a solar powered six channel monitor, it will take two oxygen probes, two temperature and two digital inputs such as a float or pressure switch.
2. It is a stand-alone unit or it can be part of wireless network
3. If exposed to sunlight it will not need a power supply because it is fitted with a solar panel and internal chargeable battery.
4. The equipment has two relay out-puts so you can use it for alarm or control applications. Set points are programmed from a key pad on the unit or by software
5. If you need a multi-channel system or if you simply want to data log the information, then add a base station Transceiver connected to your PC.  The base station will automatically configure and connect with up to 50 AquaMons via a wireless communications network to display and data log the results, or to provide a common alarm system.
6.  The wireless range is 350m around the base station but this can be increased to several kilometres

Key Points

  • Low cost because there is no wire or installation costs
  • Really simple to install, just take it out the box and use
  • No wires trenches or Health & Safety wiring issues
  • No interference from 3 phase power cables
  • Not as sensitive to lightening strikes as wired network systems
  • Easy to maintain, and in the unlikely event of a problem it is easy to return for service

Applications

aquaculture tanks, cages, road transport, well boats, helicopters
water treatment activated sludge, aeration ditches, effluent treatment
rivers lakes & ponds environmental monitoring of water quality
reservoirs check DO at two levels, early warning of algal blooms
Landfill sites measure water level in wells, and transmit back to base
environmental monitors for water for atmospheric conditions
pollution protection systems measure below and above a river discharge, pollution alarm
Sewage effluent treatment control air blowers and oxygen injection
Environment agency monitoring systems Use as a portable unit, or site monitor, no wires so no problems

Order Codes

11.2.40  Transceiver base station  ( 1 x unit per system)
11.2.31  Transmitter,  LCD display.  2 x oxygen probes, 2 x temperature inputs and 2 x digital inputs per unit, fitted with 2 x 2 amp relay control / alarm out-puts, solar powered or 12vDC external
8.4.56.1 Oxygen probe with temperature sensor, maximum of 2 per transmitter
11.2.1  UPS 12v power supply with 5 amp battery back-up ( 1 for each transceiver)

Transmitter & controller

Solar powered wireless transmitter and controller with internal battery for oxygen, temperature and any volt free contact such as a level or pressure switch.

The AquaMon can be used as a stand-along unit for monitoring or control applications, or if you have more than one unit plus a Transceiver base station, it automatically becomes a  multi-channel network using low powered radio communications over a distance of 350m or more.

  • LCD display of oxygen and temperature readings
  • 2 x oxygen probes x 2 temperature inputs and 2 x digital input, also fitted with 2 x relay out-puts
  • The alarm and control relay out-put values are set from the Transceiver base station, or from the local buttons
  • 350m line-of-site communication, but can easily be expanded to many more kilometres
  • 50 transmitters may be connected to one transceiver
  • IP 65 environment protection for all outdoor applications (even sea-cages)

Transceiver - control & displaybase station   product code 11.2.40

One Transceiver can service up to 100 probes (50 x transmitters) , power supply 12 v dc.  The unit is located in your office or control room and is connected to a PC to view the  oxygen readings, data log the information and program alarm set points. Once the unit has been configured the PC does not need to be running  for the system to monitor, control or alarm.  Software is provide with the system as part of the package.

Software is also in development to permit the system to measure water quality such as BOD (biochemical oxidation demand)  or the metabolic activity of fish, we can even use the system to predict algae blooms in  lakes and the sea.

The transceiver has 2 x alarm/control relay out-puts, which can be activated by any one or more oxygen probes. If there is an alarm condition, the probe location will be displayed on the screen.

Specification

  • USB connection to a PC
  • 433 MHz operating frequency
  • analogue out-put 4 to 20 mamps
  • 2 x 5 amp relay out-puts
