Leachate Index

The table below gives some typical examples of the Dryden Aqua fine bubble diffused aeration system performance in Tanks and Lagoons operating on the basis of a SBR ( Sequencing Batch Reactor).  The system consistently removes all of the ammonium and BOD.  The COD may contain hard COD or chemicals difficult for bacteria to metabolise,  this usually accounts for 10% of the COD.  AFM may be used to clarify to effluent to a very high standard and ozone of advanced photo oxidation may be used to take care of hard COD.   The system will also reduce the TDS ( total dissolved solids), so if it is a requirement to use RO ( reverse osmosis), water treatment by the Dryden Aqua system will have a lower osmotic pressure and will be free of bio-nutrients.

Completed Projects
UK Many installations of our skid mounted AFM filtration system.  The system will treat 5 cubm/hr of water and reduce the solids in the effluent down to a low level.  The AFM filtration system can actually treat the raw activate sludge in the aeration tanks,  however it is best to use some primary sedimentation of flocculation prior to filtration for best performance.

click here for project details and full water analysis showing the start-up of a new system.  Ammonium reduction 100%, BOD reduction is essentially 100%, COD reduction approx 95%. TDS reduction up to 50% which makes the effluent much easier to treat by RO if you are required to remove chloride.
