Activated carbon Pressure filters

GRP construction with PVC liner

rated at up to 10 bar

Diam = 630mm overall height 2300mm

Activated carbon bed depth 1200mm

Quantity of activated carbon 200 kg (supplied with filter)

Filter base material 50 kg of AFM grade 2 ( supplied with filter)

Maximum water flow rating 8 cubm/hr

Optimum continuous flow rating should be less than 4 cubm/hr

Note. There should always be some water flow through the filter, if the filter is turned off for any more than a few hours, conduct a back-wash before going back on-line. Back-wash the filter once a week when used to treat municipal mains water supplies.

Valve Manifold arrangement

If the valve manifold is provide by Dryden Aqua,  the components will be provided loose for assembly on-site. PVC solvent glue, 2 brushes, sand paper, MEK clean and a cloth will be required.

It is also important   to securely anchor the pipe to a wall or support from the floor. Do not hang the valve manifold from the filter. Avoid water hammer, move the laves slowly ( over 30 seconds) to allow the water flow to build gradually.

A = connection to the top DN80 filter inlet

B = connection to the bottom DN80 inlet

C =  90mm pvc socket connection to water supply

D = 90mm connection for filtered water

E =  90mm connection for back-wash and rinse water to drain
