Note
The discharge oxygen pressure for the low pressure units is approximately 0.5 bar. If the system is required to drive ceramic oxygen diffusers, a delivery pressure of 3 bar is required. We have diaphragm air compressors that can meet this duty, details and prices are in our on-line store under air diffusers and compressors section.
With regards to the ATF & Quad range, a compressor is required to drive these units. Standard piston compressors with reservoirs may be used. The air flow rate required is to great to realistically use diaphragm air compressors. The piston units will normally have a delivery pressure of 90psi which means that they can have a large power requirement. Also piston units are not oil free therefore air filters are required. However we will soon have air compressors that have a delivery pressure of 2 bar, that are 100 % oil free. These units will be available in February 2000, and will make this range of oxygen generators very economical, safe and very simple to use and maintain.
