Dryden Aquaculture have installed 100% closed recirculation systems in zoos for aquatic animals. The systems are designed to provide biological, physical and physio chemical treatment of the water. The water treatment systems employed are similar to the closed system Tencel modules, thus no chemicals with a toxic residual will enter the enclosure, this aspect makes the system suitable for all aquatic mammals, fish and birds from penguins to diving ducks.
Large scale systems such as the penguin enclosure in Edinburgh zoo (largest system of its type in the world) where 600 cubic metres of water is recycled every hour have been completed, for further information please contact Dryden Aquaculture.
