UVc Irradiation, plastic & stainless

We have a range of UVc units which are ideally suited for water disinfection in flow-through and recycle systems, applicaable for a wide range of industries;

  • Fish Farms
  • Public Aquaria
  • Drinking Water Treatment
  • Industrial and process water.

The units are constructed in plastic or Stainless Steel . The Stainless Steel units are for use in fresh water including potable water. If a high level of irradiation is required for a marine system then we also recommend a stainless steel which has been epoxy coated.

UV in chlorinated systems

In systems such as swimming pools or any chlorinated system,  we do not recommend the use of UVc irradiation because it will increase the level of THM`s in the water and atmosphere above the water. THM`s such as chloroform are carcinogenic, and Dryden aqua can not advocate any technology that increase the concentration of carcinogenic chemicals in our environment. .
