NoPhos is a natural product designed to effectively remove phosphates from the water, removing a key nutrient found in aquatic environments. Safe for all aquatic life, NoPhos is widely used in aquariums, coral systems, and swimming pools around the world. It binds phosphates into an insoluble, easily removable compound, resulting in clearer, cleaner water and reduced chlorine consumption.
NoPhos removes phosphates with minimal dosing—10 ml binds 1g of phosphates. In a 100m³ water system with 50g of phosphates, 500ml of NoPhos is needed.
Overdosing isn’t a concern in non-biological systems, but biofiltered systems require careful dosing to preserve bacterial balance.
NoPhos manages phosphate levels associated with algae and bacterial nutrient availability, but is not a disinfectant or algicide.
WATER TREAMENT
Dosage of NoPhos required should be calculated using the formula above and dosed according to water flow rate and phosphate reduction required. Contact Dryden if you need help.
Animal systems (Ponds, Aquaria, Aquaculture)
Nophos should be continuously dosed with an automatic peristaltic pump. Dosing should be prior to the media filters, to ensure they capture the precipitated Lanthanum Phosphate and remove it from the system. N.B. to maintain biological system function, keep phosphate levels above 0.2 mg/L, as lower levels may deprive beneficial bacteria of the phosphates needed for nutrient transport across cell membranes.
PUBLIC POOLS
1 litre of NoPhos can be diluted to 20 litres using clean water. This solution is then continuously dosed into a ZPM before the filter at 1 ml per m3 of water circulated.
AUTOMATIC DOSAGE
ACO® can also be dosed automatically with a standard peristaltic pump on the return line before the pool. Set your pump for a weekly dosage of 1 to 2 liters of ACO® per 100 m3 of water volume.
